We don't know who invented the big green cheesy leprechaun hat but we reckon when the world-wide sales are finally calculated, after yesterday's Paddy's Day, he or she must now be far richer than the likes of Bill Gates. Seriously. They were on every head in Dublin yesterday, and not just the wide-eyed tourists.

As far away as New York the big green cheesy leprechaun hat even made its way onto the head of Scottish actor Gerard Butler outside his taping for Good Morning America... Forget the Harp or the Shamrock folks, the big green cheesy leprechaun hat is the new international symbol of Ireland. Proper order too we say.
