Westlife cash in with the Sultan of Brunei...

Ireland's top boyband Westlife have received £2.5m for playing a private concert for one of the world's richest men the Sultan of Brunei.

The five lads were paid a massive £500,000 each to perform seven songs. Working out at a massive £71,000 per song.

Kian Egan, Bryan McFadden, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan say they were treated like royalty on the trip last weekend. The band who have racked up a massive five straight number one singles in a row visited Brunei on a promo trip to the far east.

Other stars who have played for the Sultan include Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Phil Collins and Mick Hucknail.

The band are heading off on Saturday to promote their single "Swear it Again" which is currently at No44 in the charts.
