Noel
Gallagher Keeps the Faith...
One of the worlds biggest bands Oasis have
honoured Ireland by saying that Dublin will the last
place that the bands frontmen the Gallagher
brothers will play together this year.
Noel
has said he will not play outside the UK and Ireland
anymore. The band will play their last gig with Noel
Gallagher (32) on July 8 in Lansdown Road,
Dublin. Noel, the man known in the band as "The
Chief" has walked out on the band and his brother
Liam during the bands US tour.
He
has now flown back home to England but has said that
he will honour his last concert which is set to take
place in Lansdown Road. Paul Weller's guitarist
Matt Deighton has been drafted in so the band's
world tour can continue. However, the bands French
gig's (which have not sold out) have been sacrificed
so Matt can rehearse. The first date without Noel
will be in Italy next week.
The
last time Oasis were due to play in Ireland in 1998
the concert was blemished with trouble after Liam
Gallagher didn't show for the concert. On the
day of the concert ShowbizIreland.com witnessed
Liam hit the bar in the Berkcley Court hotel
with a group of friends to enjoy a few pints. Tension
was so great at the time between the two brothers
that while Liam stayed in the £1,600 a night Penthouse
of the Berkcley Court, Noel and his then new wife
Meg stayed in the Penthouse of U2's Clarence
hotel, miles away from Liam.
The
two brothers have a great love for Ireland where their
father and mother are from and they grew up. All throughout
their youth the brothers spent their summers in County
Wexford with their relatives.
