Jim Sheridan Hunting Matt Damon...

The pride of Hollywood Matt Damon, Salma Hayak, Ashley Judd and Ed Norton look set to be the next influx of visiting stars to Ireland. The Hollywood stars may join up with the pride of Ireland's filmmaking industry Jim Sheridan for his next two movies.

Oscar winner Matt Damon and Jim are to meet later this week in New York for the second time to discuss their first movie together called "I Know This Much Is True." Speaking to ShowbizIreland.com in an exclusive interview Jim confirmed the duo had already been in secret talks about the movie.

"Matt's in Boston at the moment. We met in New York recently and he was being followed by 100 photographers so he was a bit distracted. We are due to met again next week to discuss the movie. I wanted to make the film and so did he so we got together and hopefully things will work out."

Damon is set to play two roles in Sheridan's version of the critically acclaimed Wally Lamb novel about a house painter who cares for his schizophrenic and destructive twin brother.

The second movie Jim plans to make is The Notebook in which he has already met with Hollywood stars Salma Hayak, Ashley Judd and Ed Norton about staring in.

Jim Sheridan is best known for his work with fellow Oscar winner and Irish resident Daniel Day Lewis. Daniel and Jim have worked on a number of Oscar winning films in the past including My Left Foot, The Boxer and In the Name of the Father.
