Reed's Widow to Re-Marry...

Josephine (Jo) Reed the wife of the late Oscar nominated actor Oliver Reed is to marry in Ireland later this summer. According to reports in the Irish Press JO will marry a local man called Walter Ryan Purcell on July 21 in Churchtown, County Cork near where JO lived with the late actor.

To keep their engagement a secret the groom to be gave his bride to be a horse instead of a ring.

The news which was announced yesterday in Ireland came with a sense of sadness as it fell on the second anniversary of the actor funeral.

Speaking to the Irish Press, Mrs Reed's new husband said "People around here have been waiting a long time for me to get married so they won't miss the opportunity to celebrate. It will be a great party. I didn't know Ollie apart from seeing him around the village but I've a felling he approve. His family have been great about the engagement and will be coming to the wedding."
