Attack of The Cloned Premiere...

Billed as the star-studded Irish event of the year but the new Star Wars movie premiere has been cloned like so many others in Dublin.

Just like the premiere of the recent Ali G movie in Dublin we are being left in the lurch with a castless premiere tonight.

ShowBizIreland.com has learnt that no stars from the film are actually making it over here for the premiere. Pity, the whole cast was in London (only a 40 minute plane ride away) last night for the UK premiere.

But hold the press, apparently a Storm Trooper or two are expected to the event which will take place at the Savoy in Dublin to benefit UNICEF Ireland.

Guests will be arriving between 7.15pm and 7.45pm and will include Neil Jordan, John Hurt, Jack L, and other Irish stars. But hold the front page, ShowBizIreland.com will be there also.

Lucasfilm Ltd and Twentieth Century Fox have awarded the Premiere to UNICEF Ireland for their work in Africa.

The premiere is to be followed by a private post-premiere party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge, and guess what? No press...

Funds raised from the premiere will go towards UNICEF Ireland's goal of providing preventative treatment for mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Zambia.
