Stoned Slane 2003?
Fans
of the Rolling Stones should be ecstatic with
the news that the band may play Slane in the summer
of 2003.
This
week they confirmed they would play the UK at the
same time...
Mick
Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and the
Irish based Ronnie Wood announced there dates
for the upcoming 2002/3 tour. The tour takes in America,
Europe, Australia and the Far East, at a press conference
in New York earlier this week.
The
forthcoming world tour will also be on the internet.
Tickets have already gone on sale for some of the
US shows and music fans have a chance to follow the
tour on www.rollingstones.com.
Every
ticket sold will include membership of the Rolling
Stones fanclub. It will be updated daily and give
users an insider's look at every aspect of the tour.
The
online tour will include rehearsals and preparations,
setlists and ongoing coverage via audio and video
streams.
The
band's world tour begins in Boston, USA, in September
and the Stones will hit the UK next summer.
This
is expected to be followed with the biggest gig of
the show in front of over 40,000 people in Slane in
August 2003.
