If there was any doubt that the Beatles have lost any of their popularity then you should have been in Dublin last night. Thousands upon thousands of Beatle maniacs turned out for Paul McCartney's sold-out RDS gig.

When the Macca took to the stage slightly later then it was billed the atmosphere in the RDS Show Jumping Arena was electric. He started off his song-list of Beatles and Wings tracks with the Lennon/McCartney number Hello Goodbye and went straight into Jet.

Paul had flown into Dublin the night before with his ex-model wife Heather Mills and were spotted having a few pints of Guinness in O'Donohues Bar Baggot Street.

The couple also stayed in the plush Four Seasons Hotel that had accommodated for Justin Timberlake and his entourage earlier in the week.
