We caught up with Nicky last week as he stepped out to take part in the Nivea For Men Ronnie Whelan Golf Classic which raises money for charities such as the Marie Keating Foundation...

Also at the event were a number of former football greats such as Niall Quinn, Steve Staunton and Alan Hansen aswell as some familiar Irish faces such as Simon Casey and Brian Ormond.

Hurling legend DJ Carey was also at the event with his partner Sarah Newman, some days later it was reported that he was rushed to hospital with health problems - apparently he is back on the mend this week...
