Now producers have decided to remake the classic movie which, tracks the torrid journey of a Collie dog from Glasgow to London after his owners are forced to sell her.

And Ireland has been chosen as the location to recreate the era around the Second World War - when the movie is set - ShowBiz Ireland spotted the film crew on Dame Street last Sunday as they turned the area around Dublin Castle into Glasgow of the 1930s.
