Cranberries play MTV party...

Dolores O’Riordan the lead singer of the Irish band The Cranberries played a private MTV concert in a small Dublin venue even though she is over six months pregnant. “It’s something I always wanted to do,” Dolores told ShowBizIreland.com before the concert. "I felt it would be an experience to play a concert while I was pregnant."

When asked by ShowBizIreland.com why the band were playing the Dublin MTV show in Vicar Street and not playing at the awards the band said they were not asked. “We were not asked to play at the awards. We have in the past but as well as this it may be a bit to much to travel to Sweden and play a big gig with Dolores as pregnant as she is.”

The band also announced at the press conference that they were getting ready to release a new DVD with selection of songs they played during a concert in Paris. Dolores O’Riordan also took the time out to talk about the current political issues concerning her at the moment including the state of the planet. “The state of our planet is something I getting concerned about. There will always be political problems it’s our human nature. When I was younger I didn’t give a toss about the planet. I was a teenage and I was to busy parting. But the older I get the more I’m concerned about the planet more so again since I became a parent.”
