Wahlberg coming for the Borstal Boy...

Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, the star of Boogie Nights and Three Kings will jet into Dublin this Thursday for the premier of the film version of Brendan Behan's Borstal Boy. The actor will be a guest at the film's premier in Dublin's Savoy Theatre along with a number of well known Irish stars including U2 guitarist The Edge, the film's director Peter Sheridan, the producer of My Left Foot Jim Sheridan and his daughter Kirsten, Moya Doherty the woman behind Riverdance and the producers Arthur Lappin and Pat Moylan.

The Borstal Boy is taken from the book of the same name which was written by the Irish writer Brendan Behan and has traveled the world as an award winning play.

The movie which was made by Hell's Kitchen, Jim Sheridans' company and stars Michael York as James Joyce plus a host of unknown Irish stars such as Shawn Hatosy, Danny Dyer, Eva Birthistle and Lee Ingleby.
