Westlife's
Xmas song chosen by fans...

Records have announced to ShowBizIreland.com
that the hit Irish boyband Westlife release
their much anticipated Christmas single on December
15th and it will be "What Makes A Man" and
B side of Motown hits. The band have been keeping
a secret on what single they were going to release
for Christmas but the single which is taken from the
No 1 'Coast to Coast' album was the choice
of the huge amount of Westlife fans who have inundated
the record company with letters, phone calls and emails
all requesting the song from the 18 track album as
the next single.
They
held the number one spot last year with their Christmas
/ Millennium No 1 'I Have a Dream' and this
year they are odds on favourites with betting shops
even before announcing details of a Christmas release.
'What Makes a Man' is taken from the million selling
album 'Coast To Coast'. The album is already 7 times
Platinum in Ireland in less than 4 weeks after release!!
Released
on November 3rd amidst a whirlwind of Westlife vs
Spice Girls publicity, 'Coast to Coast' hit
the million mark in the UK in just over 3 weeks.
The Christmas single is backed by two Motown classics
'My Girl' (the famous Temptations song)
and Jimmy Ruffin's classic 'What Becomes
of the Broken Hearted', taken from the TV extravaganza
Motown Mania which goes out on ITV on
December 16th.
