Conrad the only Irish winner at MTV Awards...

The famed Irish chef Conrad Gallagher was the only Irish winner in Frankfurt last night at the European MTV awards.

The celebrity chef won the contract to perform his culinary arts for all the stars of the awards. And did so with a VIP meal for over 120 guests and performers at a private dinner on Wednesday night.

The dinner was held on the 21st floor of the Frankfurt Intercontinental hotel and was hosted by Ali G.

Conrad, who is now based out of his new restaurant in London, flew in a team of top chefs and waiters to serve the celebrities on the top of the hotel which boasts a 360 degrees restaurant.

Those who attended the dinner included REM, Shaggy, Limp Bizkit, The Sugababes, The Cardigans and Kylie.

The chef was picked from a panel of European chef's and had already cooked for MTV when they attended the awards on Dublin in 1999.

Next year he has already been confirmed as the MTV chef for the 2002 awards, which will be held in Barcelona.
