Westlife may play 20 dates...

Westlife may now play up to 20 concerts in their home county of Ireland next summer ShowBizIreland.com can exclusively report.

The band has already sold now nine shows in the Point Theatre in Dublin and are expected to announce the dates over the next week.

Over the weekend Nicky Byrne from the band told ShowBizIreland.com that he was looking forward to the shows but was even happier to meet his football hero's from Leeds United who were out in Dublin with him on Saturday night.

"I spent the day at the match with the Taoiseach and really enjoyed watch Ireland play. But, the highlight of the night was meeting all the players from Leeds some of who were over to watch the match. I used to play with the junior team before Westlife started but had to give up professional football due to my bad knee."

The band knocked up their ninth number one over the weekend with their new song "Queen of my Heart" and spent the weekend performing to fans in a free show in Dublin.
