just hot off the press: Robbie Williams has
confirmed he will play Dublin next year in the Phoenix
Park and tickets go on sale this Saturday...

That badboy Robbie Williams set to play the park
that has hosted huge events such as the visit of Pope
John Paul II in 1979, and The Irish Football Team
Homecoming this year.
Speaking
from Berlin today Robbie said, "Irish people have
always been extremely supportive and I'm delighted
at the opportunity to play the Phoenix Park. For me
touring is the ultimate adrenalin rush and this is
going to be one of my best tours yet. I'm really excited
at the prospect of being back on the road."
The
concert wil be part of a 15 date tour which will take
in eight different European countries: Austria, Germany,
Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Scotland, England and
Ireland and commences in Edinburgh in June 2003.
Nearly
one million fans will get to see Mr. Williams in action
and the tour will coincide with the release of Robbie's
new album entitled Escapology.
According to sources event is set to bring a 20 million
euro windfall to Dublin and is being organised in
full co-operation with all the relevant authorities
including Duchas The Heritage Service, An
Garda Siochana, Eastern Regional Health Authority,
Dublin Bus/Irish Rail and Dublin City Council.
What
is sure to be a sell-out concert will take place Saturday
9th August 2003. Tickets
are priced at 59.50 euro are limited to 4 per person.
