Popstars The Rivals top contender Nadine Coyle will sing for her place in the band this Saturday after a shocking cancer scare in recent weeks.

The 17 year old Derry girl found a lump under her arm recently and was immediately rushed to a specialist clinic in London.

It has emerged in the press that Nadine had good reason to be fearful as her older sister Charmaine had a lump removed from her breast when she was Nadine's age.

Nadine came so close to getting into the Irish Popstars band SIX but was thrown out after it emerged that she was too young and had lied about her age.

No doubt the people of Derry and Donegal will be behind Nadine as she takes the final step to inevitable stardom, as will the rest of Ireland.
