Dude,
Where's Michael Moore?
Oscar winning guerilla documentarian, anti-corporate
commentator, anti George Bush campaigner, and
card-carrying member of the NRA Michael Moore
was very big in Tallaght over the weekend...

As
the world quakes in fear gulping down TV broadcast
after TV broadcast on the war on terrorism, soldiers
and civilians being blown up by terrorist bombs, civil
protests after civil protest, and George Bush's iron
resolve to enforce Western values on the rest of the
world only one man seems to have the balls to speak
out... Michael Moore.

After
winning an Oscar for the chilling documentary Bowling
for Columbine Moore's latest book Dude Where's
My Country has gone immediately onto America's
No.1 Best Seller list, illustrating that ordinary
Americans are as afraid and weary of George Bush's
administration as the rest of us.

For
the past months Moore has been touring with his book
in the US and Europe playing small halls and fairgrounds
- the turnout has been so huge he admits "Next
time we do the football stadiums!"
Even
in the capital city of the US when Moore comes to
town so many people turn up to listen to him they
can't fit them all into the venues. In his own words
this should give you "some indication of the
level of concern/frustration/anger in the country
right now over what the Bush administration is up
to."
And
it was no different when Moore turned up the National
Basket Ball Arena in Tallaght over the weekend
where the show was delayed by 40 minutes to squash
everyone into the hall to hear his words and to vent
their frustrations at the direction George Bush is
taking his war on anything anti-American.
If
you haven't seen Bowling for Columbine go out and
rent it now! Even if you have no opinion on what's
going on in the US today it's worth it just to see
the creepy Charlton Heston segment.
