Strong committed to Ally McBeal...

The lead singer from the Irish movie The Commitments is set to star in Ally McBeal, ShowBizIreland.com can reveal. Speaking to the Irish News of the World newspaper Andrew Strong, who played the lead role of Deco Cuffe in the movie, said that the deal was now confirmed. "My agent was on the phone to me today and I can confirm I will be on Ally McBeal this year. The production company have offered me a recurring role. I don't know what it is yet but I will have details when I return to LA before Christmas."

Strong moved to LA after the success of Alan Parker's Commitments in 1991 and since then has become pals with some of the hottest names in the showbiz world including Canadian singer Brian Adams. Strong is also expected to take back on his role in The Commitments II which will go into production next year.
