Colin Farrell: Hollywood's rising star...

News wire services are reporting that COLIN FARRELL, the relative unknown Irish actor who is receiving critical praise for his role in Joel Schumacher's Vietnam War film Tigerland is on the way to becoming a major Hollywood star. He is replacing Edward Norton in the Second World War drama Hart's War, in which he will co-star with Bruce Willis, playing a prisoner of war who is assigned to defend a black soldier accused of murder.

Willis will play the senior American commander in the camp and Anthony Hopkins is negotiating to take the role of the Nazi commandant.

Farrell has also been hired to star in Phone Booth in a role that was previously offered to Will Smith and Jim Carrey. He will play a slick publicist who answers a ringing telephone only to find there's an assassin on the other end who will shoot to kill if the call is disconnected. Colin has also been attached to the role of Peter Parker in the new Spider Man movie.
