Phew, Vinnie leaves Dublin for Broadway...

It's OK lads to go out to Dublin clubs again, Vinnie Jones has left Ireland this week after a few days racing and is planning to team up with Hugh Grant in a musical version of Jeeves and Wooster.

According to the former Wimbledon hardman, Andrew Lloyd Webber himself has approached him with a view to getting Vinnie on to the New York stage as the faithful butler, with Grant as the hapless toff.

According to Vinnie, "I've been practising saying 'One lump or two?' in a posh voice. It's a great role and I know I can do it. I really want to do a comedy and get away from people's normal ideas about me."

The musical, co-written by Lloyd Webber and Alan Ayckbourn, was originally released in the 1970s but flopped.

Jones and four others have stumped up £550,000 to bring it back to Broadway.
