Mickey buys Irish home...

One of Hollywood's fallen icons and Irish-American Mickey Rourke has moved to Ireland and splashed out a half a million pounds on a secret home in County Wicklow according to reports.

However, the actors ex-wife and former model and actress Carre Otis has gained 30lbs in weight and has become much happier, since she split with the star.

"I was on a diet for 17 years," the former wife of Mickey Rourke, who starred with him in Wild Orchid, told Glamour magazine.

Now, she says, she has chosen "health over hunger" and given up dieting, cocaine and heroin. "In my mid-20s I tried heroin," says Otis, 33. "I was willing to give up everything - friends, family, my home - just to have it. But after about a year and a half of that, my then husband (Rourke, to whom she was married for six years) took me to rehab in Mexico and I got off it."

While on drugs, she recalls, she started fainting and having seizures. "Doctors found that I had three holes in my heart and would need surgery. I believe my health problems were probably caused by my cocaine use over the years or from the way I'd been starving myself."
