Deloras sings for Mrs. Bono...

The singer of the Irish rock band The Cranberries Dolores O'Riordain has said that one of her hits Time is Ticking Out from her new album was inspired by Bono's wife Ali.

"Chernobyl was a big issue for a long time but then it all slipped away. But, funnily enough I picked up a newspaper and there was Bono's wife, who works with Chernobyl and raises funds for the Chernobyl project. I looked at pictures of her with the children, my own daughter was three years old at the time and it broke my heart and that's where the inspiration came from."

She went on "I said to myself I thought that was all over. I had no idea that there was children still living with those awful illnesses."

Doloras may now release the song and give all the money raised to Ali's charity.
