Andrea won't go naked for the Dr...

Always eager to clear up tabloid gossip ShowBizIreland.com has a message from Andrea Corr about the speculation surrounding her and the role of Lara in the upcoming remake of Dr Zhivago.

A statement from the company making the film was issued saying that Andrea was not taking the role in the movie due to her having to do nude scenes. The statement said that the star had been to a meeting and was told of the nude scenes and was asked to read the script first.

Reports in the press all week have said that the star turned down the role because of these nude scenes, which she would not do.

Andrea's version however is a little different. A source close to the singer told ShowBizIreland.com the truth behind the DR Zhivago story as Andrea was flying from Australia to London.

"Andrea had one casual meeting with the producers of the film. It came about through a friend and she never said she would do the film in the first place. For a start she has no time she has been in Australia touring all summer and is only due back home to Ireland tomorrow. Next Wednesday the band will be in London to meet Prince Charles at the Albert hall for the Princess Trust concert. Then following that the next few months will be spent promoting the bands greatest hits album. She has no movie interests at the moment simply because she has no time."
