Morrison & B*Witched return...

The legendary Irish singer Van Morrison made a welcome return to the Irish stage on Tuesday night when he joined his fellow Irishman Paul Brady in Dublin's Vicar Street.

Van performed along with Paul and the king of the showbands Brendan Bowyer both of whom sang "the right side of the road" while Paul played piano.

Even more impressive then who was on stage was who was in the audience.

Singer Elvis Costello watched on as did John Rocha and a host of famous actors including nearly the entire cast of Evelyn including Quinn, Rea and Margulies.

Van will return to the stage again next month for a show in his home town of Belfast.

Irish pop princess's B*Witched have declared they will be making a return to the music industry next February with a new singer.

The Dublin foursome have told the Irish press that they will release their new single, "Are you sleeping tonight" early next year which they hope will take them in a new direction.

"We've recorded the song and it's going to take us in a new direction. We know that's it's a big step and we're thrilled with the new sound."
