Branagh's Chamber of Secrets...

Belfast born actor Kenneth Branagh is the second Irish actor to be cast in the new Harry Potter movie series.

Branagh is hotly tipped to play the role of Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, a golden haired charlatan who arrives to teach Harry and his friends at the wizard school, Hogwarts.

The film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is due to start shooting two days after the 16 November premiere of the first film.

The first film stars the Irish actor Richard Harris as the headmaster of the wizard school.
