Hazel is no longer a Popstar Rival...

After much speculation in the tabloids it was confirmed yesterday that pregnant Popstars hopeful Hazel Kaneswaren has been booted out of the show.

Hazel, 25, apparently is not eligible for Popstars: The Rivals due to being ten days too old. The show's lawyers only noticed the discrepancy when Hazel signed contracts having got into the final 10.

"I never lied about my age. They saw my passport but it was only when contracts were being sent to the lawyers that it became an issue," said Hazel.

But all is not lost for the pretty singer who is due to give birth today, there are already a number of top record companies knocking on her door .

She revealed, "Polydor Records have an interest in me and I've gained friends at Granada TV through the show so there are plenty of opportunities".
