Is Sinead O'Connor Single Again?

Rock's rebel mistress Sinead O'Connor is living apart from her journalist husband according to recent reports in the Irish press.

Sinead told reporters in the Irish Star that she and her husband are "temporarily separated" but only due to her husband's, Nick Sommerland, work responsibilities.

According to the paper Nick has returned to his family in London while Sinead is touring with her latest album of traditional Irish songs, Sean Nos Nua.

Only last year Sinead attended the 2nd birthday party of ShowBizIreland.com with Nick where it was obvious to other revelers that the couple were very close.

Sinead's whirlwind romance with Nick is not her first relationship with a journalist. The mother of two has dated journalists Dermot Hayes and John Waters in the past.
