Sinead & Bono "too stupid"...

Not one to avoid controversy Sinead O'Connor has branded all pop stars as "too stupid" to be authorities for World Causes - and placed herself and Bono firmly in that category.

Speaking in this week's RTE Guide the 35-year-old mother of two said, "Why should anyone give a s*** what I, Bono or anybody else thinks about anything."

And she went on, "We're incredibly silly people really, that's why we have to sing. The reason you're a singer is because you can't communicate in any other way. Our opinion shouldn't matter to anybody - but people are always in front of your face asking for your views."

Sinead who famously ripped up a photo of the Pope on US television and more recently became a priest has used her fame to speak out against the Catholic Church.
