The Stones Rolling back to Dublin...

The Rolling Stones are expected to play Dublin next year as part of their world tour according to reports. But the question on the lips of the Irish press is, what venue?

Recently, the group of hell raisers have developed a liking of playing smaller venues - so maybe Vicar Street rather than Lansdowne Road?

No doubt the tickets will be like gold-dust regardless of the venue.

The Stones last played here in Slane ('83) and also recorded an album here in recent years.

Legendary lead singer with the band, Mick Jagger, was in Dublin two years ago at a celebrity fashion show to watch daughter Jade and ex-wife Jerry Hall on the catwalk in aid of the Chernobyl Children.

The show was organised by Bono's wife Ali Hewson and is rumoured to running another show in January 2003.
