Louis
put your Money where your mouth is...
Irish pop svengali Louis Walsh has had his
bluff called by peer, Pete Waterman, who bet
him 1 million pound on live TV that Louis choices
for Pete's band would not match the public's.
The
two rival managers for ITV's Popstars
show were put on the spot on the This Morning
show, presented by Fern Britton and Philip
Schofield (John Leslie seems to have taken
an impromptu vacation), when they were asked to pick
each other's band.
Pete
Waterman only picked three of Louis' girls whereas
Louis picked six of Pete's boys (remember SIX?).
The good news is that both Irish contestants, Nadine
Cole and Peter Smith, made into both manager's
choices.
But
things got heated between the two - nothing new there
- when Pete got skeptical of Louis' choices. The world
renowned manager stated that the public would not
pick the same choices as Louis, to which Mr.Walsh
replied, "the final band is in that six."
Pete
Waterman told Louis to put his money where his mouth
is by saying repeatedly "I bet you one million
pound the public disagree."
Obviously
not a betting man Louis wouldn't even humour Pete
with a reply.
Perhaps
they should rename the ITV show, Pop Svengalis
The Rivals?
