Stands behind Book in Dublin...
60's diva Lulu was in Dublin recently hiding
behind her new book "I Don't Want to Fight"
- the latest in celebrity 'kiss and tell' offerings.

from behind her discounted book singer and actress
Lulu, real name Marie McDonald McLaughlin,
was in Easons in Dublin to promote the hardback
with signed copies.
In
the book she tells of her affair with the Thin
White Duke (David Bowie) and other insights
into the swinging 60's.

The diminutive star is probably best known for the
song "Shout" - a cover version of the Isley
Brothers 1959 classic which, she recorded at the
tender age of 14.
The
single went on to be a smash hit and launch her on
the road to stardom.
Her 1967 movie "To Sir With love" co-starring
Sidney Potier went on to break box records
all over America.
The
song "To Sir With Love" shot to the top of the American
charts giving her the distinction of being the first
Non-American female singer to have topped the US Single
charts for five weeks.
Lulu
also has the distinction of having appeared on Top
of The Pops in five decades 60,70,80,90 and 2000.
Having lately come under the management of Louis
Walsh we expect her to add 2002 to that list.
Her
last notable hit was when she lined out with boyband
take that on their 90's hit Relight my fire.
Recently
Lulu has recorded an album of Duets called "Together",
performing on the album are heavyweights Elton
John and Paul McCartney, also appearing
are Atomic Kitten and from the Louis Walsh
stable - Samantha Mumba and Ronan Keating.

The first single from the album a cover of "We've
Got Tonight" with Ronan Keating will be released
in November.
Watch
out for an appearance on TV's Heartbeat where
Lulu will perform the hit "To Sir With Love".
