Best V Keane on Rival Chat Shows...

Strong competition definitely breeds quality in the chat show stakes with the Late Late and Dunphy shows putting Roy Keane up against George Best at the weekend...

What a night it was on Friday with half of the country flicking between RTE and TV3 to witness two of Ireland's greatest soccer legends being interviewed on rival chat shows.

Eamon Dunphy pulled off the biggest coop of the show's short history by getting the media shy Roy Keane on to face the music over his exit from the world cup.

But Pat Kenny on the other side pulled an ace out of his sleeve when George Best turned up for his show with his wife Alex back on his arm after a string of well publicised affairs.

Pat also had on Irish American actor Aidan Quinn and the entertaining Ricky Tomlinson - the kind producers of the show even let ShowBiz Ireland's photographers into their exclusive green room for some shots.

But not one to be out done Eamon also had the articulate and engrossing Bob Geldof on venting his discomfort with the new Ireland of today.
