Tara Road World Premiere...

It's not that often that a strict dress code is instated on the invites to Irish film Premieres - but when the guests of honour include Maeve Binchy and Andie MacDowell its time to get your glad-rags on...

The World Premiere of Maeve Binchy's Tara Road came to Dublin last week and with it came all the glamour you expect from such an event which saw the cast including Andie MacDowell, Olivia Williams, Iain Glen, Stephen Rea and Sarah Bolger turning out in style.

And the woman who wrote the novel - which the movie was adapted from - famous Irish writer Maeve Binchy also made a rare appearance at the Premiere to the delight of the hundreds of fans who lined up outside the Savoy Cinema to get her autograph.

But the real attraction on the Red Carpet for ShowBiz Ireland was Dublin actress Sarah Bolger who at only 15-years-old is a big hope for the future with a highly acclaimed role already in In America under her belt and now another strong performance in Tara Road.

On the night youthful Sarah outshone her costars with a very natural look and with upcoming roles opposite the likes of Ewan McGregor and Mickey Rourke it's only a matter of time before Hollywood comes-a-knocking for this talented actress.

Tara Road tells the story of two women; one Irish the other American, who swap houses after their lives both fall apart and they look to each other's countries for an escape from pain.

The Premiere of Tara Road took place in The Savoy Cinema and later a private reception was held at the plush surroundings of Dublin Castle.

Another event in the city last week, which attracted VIPs away from the Tara Road Premiere, was the launch of Jason O'Callaghan's first book "Confessions of a Gossip Columnist" in the Dandelion Bar on St Stephen's Green.
