Mikey
Snatches Movie Role...
Finding yourself blowing out the candles on your 30th
birthday cake can be one serious ordeal. Especially
when you have made your name in Ireland's biggest
boyband...
And
recently broke up with your girlfriend, nearly ended
up bankrupt and are trying to get your big acting
break.
However,
the former quietman of Boyzone, Mikey Graham,
recently found himself in this position and now seems
to be coming out the better of it.
Speaking to ShowBizireland.com this week Mikey
confessed that things really could have only get better
after his run of bad luck.
"It's been a hard over the past few years for
me. But, now everything seems to be working out. I
am just about to follow in Keith's (Duffy) footsteps.
Last week I started work on my very first acting role.
I got a great part in a Guy Ritchie style movie.
Its called Hey Mister DJ and we start filming
full time this month.
He went on, "I play a henchman to the movie's
lead actor Mike Reed, who stared in Guy Ritchie's
movie Snatch and also stared in Eastenders
for years."
But,
what of the current state of Mikey's love life?
"Unfortunately, I've recently broken up with my long
term girlfriend. She was a dancer and we were together
for a few years. So, it's weird to be single again
and back out there. I'm still hoping we might get
back together as we are still great friends and still
in contact all the time but I guess only time will
tell. For the moment I'm keeping myself busy writing
some new songs and working with a new agent in London,
who takes care of the likes Joan Collins. She
is getting me some really great auditions so hopefully
2003 will be a great year for me."
In the meantime Boyzone's Stephen Gately has
confirmed he is to star in a new West End show. The
singer only confirmed the news late on Friday night
saying, "I have signed the contract for a new show
that will start in the next few months in the West
End of London. I can't wait as I have turned down
a number of shows over the past few years and now
feel that this is the show I want to start my West
End career with."
