Cillian Murphy seems to be on the verge of becoming a big name - he was the looks, the acting ability, a big hit on his hands and now he has been linked to the next Batman role.

Murphy's latest movie 28 days later directed by Trainspotting director Danny Boyle has been a breakout hit in the US taking around $50 million at the boxoffice even though it was made on a shoestring budget.

Now the young Cork man has been linked to the next Batman role by another great director Christopher Nolan who is best known for the movies Memento and Insomnia.

According to reports Cillian will be screen tested for the role over the next few days.
