Doloras Quits The Cranberries...

Music fans around the world will be saddened to hear that Irish band The Cranberries are no more but their eccentric lead singer Doloras O'Riordan will be going it alone.

The Cranberries are Ireland's second most successful group of all time only being outdone by U2.

In the past 13 years the band broke the UK and US markets with a string of hits and album sales into the tens of millions.

The band's lead singer Doloras O'Riordan has decided to attempt a solo career for a new challenge and also so she can spend more time with her children, thus she has left the band.

Doloras told the press: "It's a much needed break. It was getting predictable and lacking in challenge. It's time to experiment."
