As Ronan Keating strolled up to the doors of Mount Carmel Hospital on Saturday the pop singer had an extra spring-in-his-step for he knew he was about to take his wife and new baby daughter home...

Congratulations to the Keatings after Yvonne gave birth to a bouncing 3lb 8oz baby girl they immediately named Ali last week.

After both mother and daughter were given the all-clear Ronan made plans to take them home on Saturday morning - and when he did he was beaming with smiles as he presented his new bundle-of-joy to the waiting photographers.

Reports have also leaked out in the media that big-hearted Ronan splashed out on flowers for ALL the woman that had babies at Mount Carmel Hospital at the same time - apparently he even gave them a impromptu verse of Life is a Rollercoaster to remember the occasion!

It was also nice to see a celebrity couple such as Yvonne and Ronan so eager to share their new baby joy with the media, and thus all his fans, without going down the usual route of an exclusive magazine deal - which has become so cliché lately.
