Denis Leary in-true-form defied Irish smoking
laws and sparked-up numerous cigarettes during his
sold-out Point concert at the weekend...

give up smoking and look forward to getting throat
cancer so you can get a voicebox - there's not much
chance that a mere fine will hamper your nicotine
addiction!

in typical fashion Denis Leary puffed his way through
his hilarious live show in The Point on Saturday night
and even joked that his smoking had run up fines of
12,000 Euro (3,000 per smoke) for the organisers...

Apart
from smoking Leary ranted about George Bush's
reaction to the Katrina disaster, Irish weather
and the gay guy who presents RTE's Telly Bingo!
He was supported on the night by his Asshole Band
and comedians Patrice Oneal and Dane Cook.

on the subject of George Bush and hurricane Katrina
Irish folk legend Christy Moore teamed up with
a number of well known faces and hosted a charity
concert to raise much-needed funds for victims of
the flood in Vicar Street last week.

new comer and reportedly ex-boyfriend to Hollywood
actress Renee Zelwegger, Damien Rice,
supported Christy to the delight of the crowd. Christy's
brother Luka Bloom also appeared.

concerts of note that went down very well in the capital
recently were Luciano Pavarotti's 'Farewell
to Ireland' gig and former teen heartthrob Donny
Osmond whose loyal band of fans came out in their
thousands to support him.
