The Script Sell Out Dublin...
There sure was a lot of home grown musical talent knocking around this city last week. Apart from everything else we had the other best band from the Dublin – aka The Script - selling-out The Olympia for five consecutive nights...

Mark Sheehan, Danny O'Donoghue, Glen Power - The Script |
There is no doubt The Script's star is on the rise. In fact, don't be surprised if Danny, Mark and Glen totally go-for-it in the coming years and knock U2 off their pedestal as the most internationally acclaimed Irish band on the planet. Lovin' their work.

Mark Sheehan, Danny O'Donoghue, Glen Power - The Script |
We caught up with the boys at the launch of 'The Music Show' at The Westin Hotel last week. The busy trio was back in town after a crazy schedule touring the world to play five sold-out nights at The Olympia. In fairness, they could have played 50 consecutive nights and it still would have been impossible to get tickets. Like hens' teeth, they were.

Lisa Hannigan |
We also caught-up with another uber talented Irish musician in the form of Mercury Prize nominee singer Lisa Hannigan heading into Today FM's studios last Wednesday...

Lisa Hannigan & Band |
Since parting-ways with Damien Rice's acclaimed outfit we reckon Lisa has really found her true voice with debut album 'Sea Sew' getting a very much deserved nod from the Mercury judging panel. Seriously folks, if you haven't checked-out Lisa's work, do so now.

Marketa Irglova |
Lastly, the duo that stormed the globe with the wee Oscar winning Irish movie 'Once' - Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova - were at The National Concert Hall performing at the Swell Season. Even though the pair have parted romantically, it's great to see they are still making beautiful music together... Awwww.
