Dublinites Give The Picnic A Miss...
Each year around this time Dublin becomes a virtual ghost-town as all our best and brightest relocate to Co. Laois for a spot of camping at The Electric Picnic. But this year it felt like many of Dublin's party people stuck with fashionable footwear and Krystle nightclub instead of roughing-it in the countryside...

Last weekend we thought there would be nothing more than tumbleweed blowing down the road from Lillies Bordello on Grafton Street all-the-way to Krystle on Harcourt Street. Not so.

In fact it was a bumper weekend for punters in the city with places like the Morgan Bar in Temple Bar and top clubs like Lilles, The Sycamore and Krystle bursting at the seams with revellers up for an end of summer party.

But this time around, for whatever reason, most Dublinites didn't seem too bothered about taking it outside the city and heading to the uber trendy music festival. Hopefully, Da Picnic aint going the way of the Celtic Tiger – hopefully we will be jumping around in a field in Stradbally for many a year to come.

But in all fairness we didn't get too excited about Ireland's coolest weekend away this year as the line-up was none too exciting and missing that stand-out act to inspire a mass migration to rural parts. Plus the weather kinda sucked too.

We caught up with a host of the usual model types and party people at Krystle last Saturday night. Also amongst the beautiful ones was Hibs soccer stars Anthony Stokes and Derek Riordan on a weekend away from the Scottish Premiership.
