Brosnan's
Irish Wedding Plans...
Despite a car accident hospitalising his 16-year-old
son Sean last week, the Irish James Bond star Pierce
Brosnan will fly into Ireland later this week to make
final plans for his wedding which will take place
in Ashford castle in Mayo on May 20.
The
actor will also start filming on the new John Boorman
film "The Tailor Of Panama" in Ardmore studious.
The film has already been delayed by two weeks due
to the car accident.
Over
140 guests including Pierce's mother and LA publicist
Dick Guttman will fly into Shannon airport from the
US and the UK for the wedding service which will take
place in the castle's private church located on the
grounds of the 350 acre private estate. The couple
will also have 40 chauffeured cars and they themselves
will travel in a special e-class Mercedes with the
reg number 00 MO 007.
Ashford
Castle was built in 1228 and is located in the tiny
village of Cong located between Lough Mask and Lough
Corrib and the hotel have confirmed it's 83 luxury
rooms are fully booked for the entire weekend from
the May 19th to the 21st.
Wedding
guests at the castle can enjoy a wide range of activities
during their weekend including Clay Pigeon shooting,
Golf, Falconry, use of the Health Centre and use of
the Tennis courts.
When married the new Mr and Mrs Brosnan will spend
the night in the hotels top suite which costs a mere
£642 a night. During the past week Brosnan and
Keely have been staying in the luxury UCLA hotel beside
the hospital that Pierce's son Sean was recovering
in after the accident. Pierce has sent a message to
the world's press noting that the boy driving the
car was not his nephew as reported.
In
the meantime Pierce's costars in the film have been
arriving in Ireland. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis flew
in last weekend and has enjoyed a few nights out at
her favourite Dublin restaurant Cooke's cafe. She
also shopped in Brown Thomas but has avoided the city's
trendy hotels and been staying at the films director
John Boorman's house in Wicklow.
