Byrne talks to ShowBiz Ireland...
Hollywood legend Gabriel
Byrne took time out over the weekend for an
exclusive interview with ShowBizIreland.com.
The Dublin actor spoke of his current film situation,
his love for acting in movies, the demise of his short
lived TV career, his plans for living in Dublin and
New York with his and his ex-wife Ellen Barkin’s
kids and the health of his mother.

Speaking
to ShowBizIreland.com Byrne spoke of his current
acting career saying that he was currently on a break.
“I’m having a bit of R&R at the moment. Just taking
a break and staying in Ireland for a few days. While
I’m in Europe I’ll be in Dublin, London and down visiting
my mother who is sick in Galway. I’m also going over
to France for a few days.”

Byrne
who recently starred in both End of Days took
a career detour late last year and moved into TV with
the show The Madigan Man which was then dropped
from TV.
Speaking about it Byrne said “It just didn’t work
and I realised I preferred working within the movie
industry instead.”
Byrne
also talked about his next movie which will be about
showjumping. “It’s called Let Virginia ride”
and it ‘s stars me, a kid and a horse and we started
shooting in Canada in May.”
