Bizket
concert gone Limp...
Rockers Limp Bizkit have been forced to cancel
their upcoming concert in Ireland due to back problems
on the behalf of their lead singer Fred Durst.
Their
PR company in the states have issued this statement
to ShowBizIreland.com for their Irish fans.
Los
Angeles 17th June 2001
THE FIRM 9100 Wilshire Boulevard Suite 400 West Beverly
Hills, CA:
It is with great regret and apologies to all their
fans that the members of Limp Bizkit are forced to
announce the cancellation of the five remaining dates
on their current "Anger Management" tour
in Europe.
Lead
singer Fred Durst has suffered an increasingly painful
and distressing back injury. After consultation with
a number of Doctors & Orthopaedic Specialists over
the past ten days, Durst was told that a "Mandatory"
rest period of at least two weeks was needed from
all physical activities to allow the injury, identified
by MRI as a "stress fracture to the fifth lumbar
vertebrae" to begin to heal.
He
will then undergo a period of gradual recovery and
physical rehabilitation. Unfortunately due to prior
commitments and scheduling problems, the remaining
five dates in Germany, Switzerland, Britain and Eire
are unlikely to be rescheduled at this time.
This,
having been the bands longest and most successful
tour to date has made the cancellation all the more
difficult for the band.
They once again thank all of their fans for the support
they have give them and for making the tour such an
outstanding and forgettable experience.
