Liam
Neeson is in Love Actually...
Irish actor Liam
Neeson and Laura Linney have joined
the cast for writer Richard Curtis' directorial
debut Love Actually.
The
project reunites Linney and Neeson, both of whom worked
together in the Broadway production of The Crucible
earlier this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Written
by Curtis, Love Actually is set to begin shooting
in and around London in September. The story details
10 intertwining love stories and the cast already
includes Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon.
Casting for the other six main roles continues.
According
to the producers, Love Actually is "10 new romantic
comedies in one" and is set in contemporary London
in the two months before Christmas.
Linney
was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for
her performance in the television feature Wild
Iris.
In
the meantime the Veteran action hero Harrison Ford
proved himself a real joker on the set of Neeson's
new movie K-19: The Widowmaker.
The
60-year-old star caught a gaffer fooling around with
an electronic toy designed to mimic the sound of flatulence
and confiscated it.
Later
during an intense scene, Ford set off the device himself
giggling like a kid. Co-star Liam laughed saying,
"Of course it was during my scene."
K-19: The Widowmaker is the true story of Russia's
first nuclear ballistic submarine, which suffered
a malfunction in its nuclear reactor on its maiden
voyage in the North Atlantic in 1961.
The
crew, led by the Captain Alexi Vostrikov (Ford),
races against time to prevent a Chernobyl-like disaster
which has the potential to ignite a world war between
the superpowers.
