Farrell's Mother Christmas Scare...

Everything moves pretty fast in the ShowBiz lifestyle of Irish heartthrob Colin Farrell but this Christmas the paddy playboy nearly lost the most important thing in his life...

Anyone keeping up with the rocketing career of Colin Farrell will have noticed the presence of someone very close to the Dubliner's heart at various premieres and ShowBiz parties - his mother Rita.

It has been reported in the media that over the Christmas period his beloved mother suffered medical difficulties - a suspected heart attack - causing her to spend a week in hospital in an isolation unit.

Thankfully the attractive 60 year old has since made a full recovery and did not in fact suffer from heart attack.

During his mother's illness Colin did not come home as he was busy finishing off filming on the 100 million dollar epic movie Alexander The Great in London with Angelina Jolie.

Colin's dedication to his craft also caused him to miss the birth of his son James as he was away in Morocco working on Alexander but to make up for it he has put away a 3 million euro nest egg for the youngster which he can access when he is 18.

Farrell is now dating his co star in the Alexander movie Angelina Jolie.
