Colin Farrell's Cruise Report...

Tom Cruise gave Irish heartthrob Colin Farrell some lessons in what it takes to become a top Hollywood actor during the filming of their latest film Minority Report.

During filming of their new movie, Cruise insisted on perfecting a scene in which he is seen submerging himself in a bath and emitting a single bubble from one nostril.

The Hollywood superstar refused director Steven Spielberg's offer of special effects. In an interview with Time magazine this week, Cruise says: "I kept practising. I had to figure out how to get the air and then just control my nostril."

Spielberg had told him: "Don't worry if you can't do it. I can do it with special effects."

Cruise, 39, also speaks about his ex-wife Nicole Kidman's famous comment after their divorce about how she could now go out in high heels.

He said: "I don't care about that. She always wore heels. Truly I like her in heels."

In Minority Report, which opens here next month, Cruise plays a cop in the future working in a division of the police department that arrests killers before they commit the crimes courtesy of future viewing technology.

But his character Detective John Anderton has the tables turned on him when he is accused of a future crime.
