Colin's Alexander is Great...

It has to be said when is comes to Irish celebrities proud of their heritage Colin Farrell has to be top that list as he always puts on a big show when one of his films comes to town...

It was a late night last night at ShowBiz Ireland towers as the photos from the Alexander The Great Premiere flooded in from the Savoy Cinema and later on from the Vicar Street after party.

And with AAA list celebrities like Colin, Angelina Jolie and Val Kilmer on the red carpet every media outfit on the planet was buzzing around Dublin last night trying to get a glimpse of these big name stars.

It all kicked off at the Savoy on O'Connell street where the road was cordoned off for the red carpet entrance of Dublin's favourite son and his glamourous costars.

And there were no diva like strops from Col & CO, in fact they all seemed like very close friends after their physically demanding experiences filming Alexander. Especially Colin and Val who constantly goofed around in each others presence.

The verdict on the movie is it's very gory and very long - three hours so stock up on Popcorn - but if you're into the Ben Hur type epic this will be right up your street.

When the hoards of VIPs who attended the Premiere poured out of the Savoy after 11pm they quickly moved on to the after party in Vicar Street where Picture House entertained the masses.

A little later on in the night the party moved on to Colin's favourite watering hole Renards nightclub (www.renards.ie) where we hear it went on to the early hours...
