Colin Farrell's Sleepless Nights...

Irish actor Colin Farrell has revealed how his long battle with insomnia has become part of the secret to his success as an actor.

Colin Farrell's father once said to the star when he was a young boy that he would make a good night watchman when he grew up due to the fact that he requires so little sleep.

Colin told Living Abroad magazine: "Ever since I can remember, as far back as when I was 10 or 12 years old, I never slept much. But the small hours by myself are lovely moments for me - the hours between midnight and three in the morning."

He went on, "I listen to music, read a script - think. Or I might cook a steak, have a couple of beers and think about the day's work that has passed or the day's work to come."

Colin Farrell's girlfriend Kim Bordenave is due to have their baby next October so there will be plenty of excuses then for his sleepless nights!
