He may be the best thing since sliced bread as far as Hollywood bad-boys are concerned and one of the most desirable males on the planet but at heart Colin Farrell's really just his Mammy's boy...

It was nice to see that despite his millions in the bank and movie star status that Colin Farrell's mum Rita still does the washing for her little boy!

ShowBiz Ireland caught sight of Colin's Mum Rita yesterday as she pulled her luxury Mercedes up outside her other son Eamon's house in the pouring rain with an arm full of washed and pressed clothes. We can only assume she was sending off her scruffy son to Hollywood with some clean threads?

And no sooner had she gone in, her filmstar son Colin turned up shrouded in a heavy overcoat and flatcap and walked straight past our unaware photographer and into the house with what looked like a dirty ponytail sticking out of the back of his hat.

Colin's driver then entered the house to take a large suitcase to the car and was soon followed by Farrell and his Mum.

Col was then driven to Dublin Airport where he took a flight to London and a connecting one on to LA dispelling rumours that he'll be around for this weekend's IFTN Awards...

Uncharacteristically Colin kept a very low profile during his short stay in Dublin this week. He wasn't spotted once without his beanie hat leading to rumours that he may either be hiding a new haircut for the current movie he's filming, The New World, or even a head injury?

Either way we hope Colin comes back to Dublin very soon... We miss him :(
